hogmaw
I saw this the other day and I just realised how lucky I was when I was 'caught' allegedly doing 65 in a 40. I expected 3 points and £60 fine, but either I was lucky or Ronaldo was VERY unlucky. Good job they dropped the case
Havard
I know the road well where he got caught and although it is two lanes for most of it, doing 60 is just plain stupid. It is very busy with a lot of house either side. Then again I would of hoped they would have seen castration as a better punishment for the cheating diving tw@t.!! H. silvershark44
the thing is £1000 is nothing to him and they know that. But its about the maximum they can throw at him. Thats why it seems harsh. If it were joe bloggs, probably would get nowhere near the severity of punishment.

vvteye
60 mph... he goes round defenders much faster than that and usually ends up getting tripped rather than fined. Still... if they ended up disqualifying one of his legs so he had to hop about he'd still be better than anyone else in the premier. You are talking about the most skillful player in the world... but I'd expect that level of envy coming from supporters of other clubs as previously noted. As far as diving goes, it was only a few months ago he was arrested for it. I think that referred to muff rather than football though
Chewie
I love it where it says ' Ronaldo, 21 of Stockport..' You just can't place him in a 2 up 2 down terrace.

I didn't think Ronaldinho had been done for speeding!! Envy?? Yes probably, I do admire him as a skillful player but I don't hate him for what team he plays for I just think that his behaviour in the two most recent England - Portugal matches was inexcusable. Just my opinion though!! H.
MaveriK
I just looked at the incident again and i am almost sure he didnt have an England shirt on at the time. Funny how when St Gerrard went over early in the season and there was no contact all the crap came out about there being intent to foul and thus it was a penalty. But when there is slight contact with Ronaldo its a witch hunt. And dont get me started on Drogba and Lehman.

ivan
"In Mr Ronaldo's case there can be no credit at all for a guilty plea. The system has been manipulated in this case up until the last minute." Sounds like he tried to play the system and didn't get away with it. Jake
I see the typical Man Yoo fans (Wiltshire and Gwent) are leaping to Ronaldo's defence. To be fair he's a great player and now he's stopped cheating so much I quite enjoy watching him play. I wish he'd pack it in with all those ghey stepovers though. He looks such a Jessie prancing about like that. Does anyone know if he had that Nick Freeman defending him for this court case?

And who do you propose which team I should support coming from Gwent? There is only so many years you can watch Welsh non league football you know! Now let's see... Hampshire - that'll make you a Liverpool supporter then?
Jake
And who do you propose which team I should support coming from Gwent? No idea. I don't even know where Gwent is. OK Wales, but I dunno if it's north or south So Cardiff or Liverpool maybe? ISTR quite a lot of Tafs support Liverpool don't they? There is only so many years you can watch Welsh non league football you know! Yeah I suppose so. Now let's see... Hampshire - that'll make you a Liverpool supporter then?Portsmouth. Thats gotta be worse than the Supra nightmares on the other thread Pompey seems like a very nice team though... Harry's done wonders there and they are already becoming a permanent featre in the Premier. Also, like you, I believe he has recently given up smoking
