edd_t
I've been asked by the big head honchos to now track what goes on with the internet in our company. At the moment I have an ISA server, so the reports from that are ok for top web user, most popular website etc etc. But what they want is to have reports on who uses the internet the most, when they use it, what websites they are going to etc etc. Can anyone recomend a package for doing this sort of thing? Cheers,
jevansio
Tell them it's not possible, don't deny the common man his internet :D Seriously we have this software called SurfControl, not sure if it produces any reports but it but it may be worth an investigation if you'e planning on blocking sites, Jay
edd_t
I'll check it out. We already have the ability to block sites and stuff as we use Scansafe services. Just need some cool reporting stuff
Ark
Doesn't the ISA server produce W3C logs? If so, you can just use parsing software like webtrends or Sawmill to get the reports you want. Or write your own scripts, depending on the quantity of data you're looking at.
MarkR
Surfcontrol does do very good reporting with ISA as i used it at the last place i worked, and could report on top users, amount of time surfed, top sites, etc....

ivan
Tell them that you can do it but you can't descriminate on the results - all their own surfing will show up too. Worked for me.
