Masenko Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Basically, the speedometer works intermittently; and the OD-OFF light flashes on the dashboard. Pushing the OD button does nothing. Also, the milecounter doesn't count miles; all of this happens when the Speedo isnt working. However, I believe it to be the derestrictor chip. Can you help? wilko Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 check the back of the clocks, should be connected in 3 places, if these are not screwed down tight it can cause problems, also the od light flashing is telling you the engine code that is being thrown up, check on this site for thread on reading codes mate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wilko Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 the auto shows engine fault codes through the o/d light flashing, check the flashes, i am guessing it is 4 flashes then 2 which is a speed sensor fault caused by the chip or its wiring. search for thread on o/d light flashing should help mate Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
