jamesmark
The 330ti had 333hp
edge
These were made in 1986 for the south african police force. Only 500 hundred were made but all of them were ordered to be scrapped. Only 3 left world wide. 2 of which are blue and this one. Apparantly the 2 blue ones are owned by a big manager of BMW in germany and this one is owned by someone i know. The value is in excess of £150k . Note the engine slanted back, front end is extended by 6 inches and has 2 fuel tanks. And yes the mileage is correct. This car is how it came from the factory. Anyway heres some automotive porn for you.
Homer
I'd heard of these back in my old E30 days, never seen pics of one before. Nice one:) Wouldn't imagine it'd be a very nice drive with all that weight up front, even the 2.5's were front heavy. guess no one really found out though! jaymdee
The 330ti had 333hp Did it? The current/outgoing M3 only has 10 more than that??
jaymdee
i felt honoured just to be a passenger for a few minutes. I always quite fancy an E30 M3. Nice looking old school cars, remind me of the Integrale (LHD, boxy wheel arches etc)
Wez
Is it supposed to be a turbo as I cannot see one?
Wez
I use to have a Zender bodykitted 323i with Hartge engine bits and bobs, BBS wheels and Sierra Cosworth recaro seats, was a great motor.
jamesmark
Did it? The current/outgoing M3 only has 10 more than that?? According to BMW world it has Link
Seb
The info on that page is out of date - ti doesn't exist, but 335i does, though that's got 306bhp not 333.
Matt H
interesting post. so considering its only done 240 miles you must feel honored to have been in it while it was actually moving!
edge
Is it supposed to be a turbo as I cannot see one? The Turbo was there 1st idea but but never got made. BMW dint agree at the time for reliabilty reasons. interesting post. so considering its only done 240 miles you must feel honored to have been in it while it was actually moving! Its was nice. Very quick indeed for a 1986 made car. When we last spoke we both agreed this should end up in a museum for all to see and not in some Toffs collection. Pot
I wish for more pics!... Whilst liking the E30, I've never looked into it to hunt for rare models, but somethng like this makes me phwoarr whoohar, and leak fluid from some of my exit points (Mainly the mouth, but some from south of the border)...
