I'm covering for a guy on a site in Braunston, Leicester at the moment and have been using his computer for a few work related bits (and of course browsing here :D )

It was running like a dog, so I downloaded RegSeeker (great program, btw) to clean his Registry up a bit. 1252 dead registry links later, I thought I'd clean up his index.dat file as well whiel I was at it.

His index file has LOTS of pages from several northern massage parlour sites complete with pictures and movies

So I've deleted it all for him, and will be leaving him a helpful hint / message for his return :sly:

Once ou've unzipped it to a folder, run the program then go:

Histories > IE History Cache Cookies (Index.dat) > Select > Select all > Action > Delete selected

and hey presto.

Similar kind of thing for cleaning the registry too, it just asks you to confirm the backup before it delets anything.
