MR.B
An old mate of mine used to have a Raleigh Chopper - I however went from a Boxer to a Grifter
michael
I had two, a red one and a metallic purple... then I moved on to a racing bike and a "Strider" before discovering BMX. I always envied my Grifter friends but now realise I was the cool one

Max Headroom
I had a Chopper until the day I went down a very steep hill and crashed into a concrete post, slid off the seat right onto the gear stick. Went from a tenor to a soprano in the choir in one day !!
ross
I had a Raleigh Chopper. Great for pulling wheelies. Then moved onto a Grifter. (did anyone else stick a playing card to the forks to make it sound like a motorbike) or was that just me?

loks
Yes I had a red chopper (oo-eer) - it was an Xmas pressie from my folks many moons ago, longer than I want to remember... An Xmas tale - being an inquisitive child, I always wanted to know what pressie I had before the actual time - I would often find out what my sister had also and take great pleasure of telling her what she had... much to her annoyance... Anyways, this Xmas eve I sneak downstairs in the middle of the night to find the pressie in the living room. It was pitch black and I searched all the cupboards and draws around the room but found nothing. Went back to bed disappointed without any knowledge of what it could be. How did I feel when I went downstairs in the morning and there was the chopper bike sitting smack bang in the middle of the room - I had totally circumnavigated it in the darkness... From that day on I knew what a twat was /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif
Jake
I had a couple of Choppers but I kept breaking the welds at the rear of the two horizontal frame sections (not sure the correct term). It must've been a design weakness, I wasn't fat in those days. I presume I'm not the only person to have nearly castrated himself on that amazingly badly positioned gear shift lever? My mates from then always remind me of it when they want to embaress me (that and a few other things;) ) I remember the brakes being too good and always sliding forward and landing my nuts on the gear shift...it was then i realised i wasn't going to grow up normal:p
