merckx
Has anyone tried one of these to mount their 52mm gauges below the radio. Are they any good , when you look at the spare din slot below the radio there doesn't look lie enough space to fit the 52mm gauges. I don't want to fit a a pillar pod if I can avoid it. http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/radiofacedia.jpg

Nic
I think 1 DIN is 178mmx50mm so there isn't enough room to fit a 52mm gauge, that holder looks bigger than 1 DIN to me.

You're correct , 50mm in height. No good for standard gauges then.
sdavies
Without running to the car with a ruler/measure - I am confused I have seen three sets of numbers: Single DIN ISO 7735 (178x53mm) single DIN (180 x 50 mm panel) Single DIN 7.2"X2.11" (~180x53mm) Supposedly ISO 7736/5 (which bleeding one?) (which doesn't quite agree with any of the above lol - well I can't tell without *BUYING* the standard). As DEFI make 52mm single din pods, I thought that it may be possible!? Gah, I love standards Aren't they great? That's why there are so many of them
Nic
As DEFI make 52mm single din pods, I thought that it may be possible!? The Defi Din Gauge, which is a complete unit, uses smaller gauges. http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defishop/product/din/images/dinsize.gif
ChrisR
I did this in my old GT-Four but involved allot of hacking about to make it work, different gauge holder too.

merckx
The Defi Din gauge is limited a little, only information on a pressure and 2 kinds of temperatures can be displayed. Good for boost and oil temp, it's a pity the third gauge couldn't display air/fuel ratio.
