Digger009
After picking up my Supra, theres been a light that intermittently comes on. Its on the rev counter, and its a red light with an exclamation mark in a triangle. I know I should know, but I've not got a manual for it yet cos I've only got it on Saturday, and the damn thing is driving me nuts!
Sheefa
The ECU is diagnosing a fault mate, you'll need to do a check to find out the error code and look that up. Link on how to do this is below http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920&highlight=error+codes Greg
imi
theres been a light that intermittently comes on. Its on the rev counter, and its a red light with an exclamation mark in a triangle. That is NOT necessarily the ECU logging a fault. The ECU will log a fault if this light lights up in ADDITION to the engine fault code light on the right side of the dash panel. If that bulb of yours is working (easy to test during the ignition start sequence) then it is NOT your ECU logging a fault and something else MORE likely that you are slightly low on brake fluid..... Someone else said it could be the brake fluid, someone has also told me it could be the sensor to say the bonnet isn't closed! This is more likely. The lights all come on during start up, so all is/should be well. Which light is the error code light? I just know that this is the only light lit when started. Regarding the pic, I dont have one on me handy, its the light on the right side of the dash along with the RED oil pressure warning lights. EDIT: Pic attached. Digger009
Ok, I've noticed with this light that its coming on as and when I put my handbrake on. Any ideas anyone?
Homer
Ok, I've noticed with this light that its coming on as and when I put my handbrake on. Any ideas anyone? The big red on in the Rev counter? Thats normal, it's just warning you the handbrake is on. As mentioend before, intermittant flickering of the big red light (usually under braking) is a sign of low brake fluid. Top it up to the Max mark, its a very sensitive system. If the yellow light indicated in Imi's picture is coming on then you have a different issue click this link for instructions on how to diagnose: Error codes
