SupraStar 3000
With the Bugatti Veyron proven by TopGear to do a 250mph run, do you think we will ever see a 300mph road car in the next 50years or so? The 300mph will be an awesome milestone to be broken,.... if possible. Thats almost 1/2 the speed of sound isn't it? (660mph) Was very surprised to hear the tires on the Veyron only lasted 20 (or was it 30) minutes before exploding So I guess everything would need re-desigining from ground upwards. Mind you, that guppy mouth can't be very aerodynamic and must be worth a few extra mph.

RedM
I'm sure I've read that the Veyron is capable of faster speeds but the tyre technology is holding it back.
JustGav
With the nanny state currently... I doubt it...
Bobbeh
Whats the point, theres no point to the Buggatti with having a top speed like that, so whats the point in a 300mph car. Waste of time and money.
dandan
Was very surprised to hear the tires on the Veyron only lasted 20 (or was it 30) minutes before exploding You may well find that the fuel tank would be empty before the tyres reached their 20 or 30 minute failure time... RedM
I'd imagine that while it'd be impossible for the police to catch you speeding in a Veyron they'd certainly catch you at home what with there being not many possible culprits to choose from. Gazboy
Yes, but it'll be electric. Apart from these flash in the pan hopefuls who claim a £300k car with a twin-turbo'd sbc that'll do 255mph, 0-100 in 4 seconds that crop up every other month, imo the Veyron won't be beaten by a manufactorers petrol powered car. The V was a Concord moment.
Bobbeh
its bragging rights mate. Indeedy. I'd still like to see how it compares to an Enzo/Mac around a track.
