Chris Wilson
Torque is what you need in a road car, as much as possible, over as wide a band as possible. That's why Toyota invested so much money and time with *sequential* turbos. I am not saying a big single is bad news, but it changes the whole nature of the beast. Try a proper early seventies 7 litre V8 "sports" car like a big block Corvette, on proper fuel with its original CR intact, and you'll see what torque can do
Chiefgroover
Yes indeed Chris, loads of torque and loads of wheelspin, or RLTC doing its bit, mind you the bandit never had it lol. I find a big tub supra easier to drive on our winter roads than a std tubbed one, and yes big CC torque is nice, but so is 8000PRM and nitrous lol. All down to personal taste!.
