Oh crap!

Well it would appear that I have cocked up big time!

In my attempts to remove the hoses to my water pump I decided that it would be a real good idea to remove the Dizzy. I have now found out that in doing so I have screwed up all my timings :innocent: Anyone got a quick how to guid on how to get the engine back into its first position? Or what that position is?

Cheers

Basically you need the engine with No1 cylinder on compression.

You can see the marks on the crankshaft pulley, but you'll either need to take the cam covers off, or take the plugs out except No1 so you can feel it come onto compression when you turn the engine by hand.

Line up the distributor with is marks, stick it in and (hopefully) it should fire up. You'll have to fine tune the timing with a strobe light.
