mattanna
Just got my renewal from SKY for the Aristo which is £16 a month more than last year, i pay monthly so that adds 10%, quote is about 560 however i am street parked but have 6 years no claims and am 34, wife on their too fully comp no claims protected, just annoying how it seems to go up each year for no reason other than uninsured bastards pushing price up, i got a quote from Churchill and that was £900, does anyone know of any good ways of sourcing quotes as it always takes ages entering details, also Aristo is not on a lot of car lists, or do you think i should lump the increase, does everyone elses go up yearly!!?? turbonut
Hi I tried A Plan who offered me 25 quid less but i went with Sky as they seemed very knowledgeable and approachable, although A Plann offered pretty much the same package. Try them : 0845 071 1234 Unfortunatley, if you pay monthly, regardless of who you go too they'll wop you with interest Good luck! SupraAyf
I have to admit now but my wife bought me a copy of Max Power and I spent 2 hours on the phone doing bloody quotes. These were the results: 1. Adrian Flux: £495:) 2. Alan & Alan Group: £507 3. A-Plan: £631 4. Performance Direct: £665 5. Swinton: £700 6. SKY: £

mattanna
It does seem as if they just pluck a number out of the sky, depending on whether they like your voice or not, Churchill who quoted me £945 said because i was sent a letter promising to beat my renewal quote they had to stick to their word so would do it for a pound less, just like that, but as others have said SKY do seem to know about the cars more, i think it is a lottery though:search:

silvershark44
This is what i was trying to say the other day. The main come back was that not many places do agreed values and such. Sky were too pricy for me.

Henk
Were the excesses all the same? Were they all agreed value? In other words are you comparing like with like?
SupraAyf
Were the excesses all the same? Were they all agreed value? In other words are you comparing like with like? Excess was 350 for the Flux deal; like for like on mods and market value. The thing is mucka, I have never had 'agreed values' on policies as I didn't even know such things existed until joining this club in May last year. People may talk about agreed values but I am not prepared to spend £502 extra a year on a car that I may use for 10 days in every 365!
