The avian flu which killed 2,600 Turkeys at a Suffolk farm has been confirmed as the H5N1 virus. The strain can be fatal if it is passed on to humans but experts said the outbreak was being contained and posed little danger to people. Yeah! They say that now..... Scoboblio Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 It's not a major problem yet as it can't pass from human to human, unless it mutates in combination with a strain of 'human flu' - ie someone would have to A: handle a dead infected bird and B: be suffering from normal flu at that time.
