Guest Bainesy36
Hi all again. After trying to find a speed converter/delimiter the other week I thought I'd disturbed something to cause the turbo timer to lose power. At the same time (after a battery -ve disconnection to reset ECU) the timer lost power and the alarm decided to bleep once on dis-arming and twice on arming, when it used to be silent and just flash the indicators once or twice respectively. The alarm then went back to silent yesterday (don't know if I activated this somehow from the key fob) so I decided to try the reset by disconnecting the battery -ve again, but when I re-connected, the alarm was still silent with indicators flashing, however the turbo timer is now on and working again? I'm confused by this but assume there is a link between the alarm and turbo timer. I'd like it to bleep when arming and disarming, but still want the turbo timer to work. Any ideas please? This is the first car I've had with all these electrical add ons. Cheers, Nige.
bondango
Nige, does the alarm sound (siren) when activated????
Guest Bainesy36
No, it just flashes the indicators twice when I set it now. It was chirping twice aswell before. Any thoughts? Sorry, misunderstood question first. I can get the alarm to activate and have the siren going off, yes.

Guest Bainesy36
Thanks Ric. Anyone else know how I take it back off silent? Any ideas on the link to the Turbo timer? Cheers, Nige.
bondango
on the cliffords, if you have the fob with a main button, 2 smaller ones below to the right and left, and one at the bottom, then hold down the one at the bottom and this switches between silent mode. Guest Bainesy36
The lock/unlock button is top right with I think boot unlock below. Then there are two smaller ones to the left of these which I think are * and Headlight button. Does this help? The symbols are all worn away and it's very difficult to make them out. Also, is it easy enough to get a replacement fob? If so how and where from? Thanks for your help, Nige.
Guest Bainesy36
Just found a useful link for Clifford Alarms including manuals etc, http://www.clifford.com Just printed one off for my Concept 300 and should sort me out. If this link is useful to others, could it be put somewhere for people to access it easier. Nige.

Guest Bainesy36
Bringing this thread back up due to not being able to enter parameters as I don't have the Valet Code. Also the alarm no longer makes any noise at all. Silent arming and disarming, but now it is silent when the alarm is triggered! The indicators flash quickly, but there is no sound. Could it be the siren now? Cheers, Nige.
Sheefa
Not good Nige, must be something up with your Siren. Who did the install? Can you not reset the entire system without the valet code - I'm sure there's something like this available on the Concept 650, so would assume 300 is similar. Off topic, I have a Turbo Timer too but a manual knob one that you can switch from 1 minute to 3 minutes to allow cool down. Sometimes I can set it, get out my car and lock the car (confirmed by two indicator flashes and chirps) and other times I'll set it but the car simply won't lock whilst it's still running. I'm thinking of getting rid of it - i'ts pretty pointless. Stay off the boost in your last 5 mins of the journey home, or idle for a bit on the drive. Far easier, less hassle and reduced room for bloody electronic errors....................even if it does look quite 'cool' running your engine whilst you walk away.
