Matt _Aero top_
where can i buy a new o2 sensor for a j-spec N/A . I know i could probably get one from mr T but i'd rather do business with a trader on here rather than line mr T's pockets . And how much roughly ? And is it just the one sensor ? Trying to get better MPG as im lucky toget 200 miles on £

Nic
O2 sensors - what they do then? I just bought a 95 import supra few weeks ago, need to get it serviced and cam belt changed. Reckon it be worth me changing the sensor your talking about too? Aint got a clue! Jordan Hi Jordon Have a read here for a full explanation of what the oxygen sensor does. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_sensor Very basically it tells the engines ECU (computer) the percentage of oxygen remaining in the exhaust gasses, the ECU uses this information to adjust the fueling to the engine. O2 sensors deteriorate after a few years, when this happens the ECU will receive a bad signal and automatically default to a rich mixture setting. This leads to low fuel economy and poorer performance at lower rpms. You should also find the engine runs smoother at lower rpms with a new sensor fitted. It will also help with emission levels, which can make a difference come MOT time. The O2 sensors may seem expensive, but a new one can pay for itself in fuel saving very quickly, if your O2 sensor hasn't been changed for a few years, then I would definitely recommend replacing with a new one. I can organise another group buy if there are a few members up for it.

Nic
I have taken the liberty of starting a thread for nic, since its difficult for him to be on at the moment. Thanks Rob The group buy price is £74 including postage, please click on the link below and add your name and car model to the list. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=98327 A working O2 sensor is vital for good fuel economy, if you have not changed yours for a few years I would definitely recommend investing in a new one, as it will pay for itself in savings on your fuel bill very quickly. More info about what the O2 sensor does click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen_sensor
