Ian R
Some people need to get a grip it was quite clear the gravity of the crash and by now means was it bigged up. I thnk it hit home quite alot and a bit of humour hurts no one. Tossers
Pot
gives the impression people can make a full recovery from head injuries So people never make a full recovery from head injuries?

Wez
Oh yeah, it was watched by some 8 million people and they had 50 complaints, well they had better take them seriously then as it was such a large percentage of the audience, fecking idiots. Scoboblio
So 'brake' are a motoring road safety group. Well considering that Hammond A: Wasn't on a road, and B: Wasn't driving a car, their opinion should hold no sway at all. edit: Oh and the other bunch of moaners also have their heads stuck up their arses! Get a sense of proportionality, a life, a proper job, anything that keeps people like that, who have nothing better to do than complain about something they aren't forced to watch, out of my face. Deep Deep breath.
RedM
As a licence payer I'm happy that they checked to make sure that Mr. Hammond wasn't a raving brain-wrong.

jamesmark
they need to get out more, not right in the head some people The same could be said about the 40,000 odd people that complained about Big Brother they also need to get a life, imho the 50 people had more right to complain to Ofcom than the BB ones. Pot
If Brake were that concerned about saving lives in RTA's, shouldn't they go to India and perform their magic there, a life's a life no matter who's eh??... Oh bugger, that's got the Big Brother complainers onto me now...
supra steveo
ive had a brain injery and my mother has said i have never been the same since, but if you have bouncebackability then fair play and fair play to him, the thing i found weird was the way he was talking about the crash as if he can remember the whole thing i lost 2 days of memory when i crashed my car, i was told by doctors the brain decided to stop making memories and concetrate on staying alive so shut every thing down
Gamer
Headway chief executive Peter McCabe said: "This has created such anger among members of Headway. It really was offensive and insulting to all those people living with brain injuries. I assume he was referring to his own brain damage. Charlotte
Those 50 people have obviously never seen the program before and tuned in purely for the crash alone. Any other right minded person could see that they were teasing the Hamster in an affectionate way.
Pot
My best friend Jay died in a crash less than 2 years ago when he went straight on at a roundabout in his TVR, (Yes he was speeding, estimated speed 120mph+ at impact, long story, won't go into details on here (People on Pistonheads (Or in the Telford area) might remember hearing about it, PM me if you want clarification)) He died from head injuries, and died pretty bloody quickly, but I know for a fact that he'd be sticking up for Hammond and TG with regards to this... As a friend living in the 'aftermath', yeah, it's not an easy thing to do, but I know that whilst slamming his head into the a-pillar of his TVR wasn't what he'd planned, driving his car and having fun was what Jay liked doing... Jay was a tuned and skilled driver, and he knew how to drive his car well, he looked after his car, and spent many £K on it a year, so it wasn't poorly maintained... He knew the roads, and what to expect.... Sometimes accidents do happen... (Yes accidents at 120mph, but give some leeway on this one)... EDIT : I guess I'm trying to say "Yes, Jay crashed @ silly speed, but wasn't due to anything he'd seen on TV, or heard, or whatever..."...
