Lukeyboy2k
Just a quick bit of advice really....... I'm staying at a posh hotel and leaving the car there. It will be parked by an attendant who will take the keys when I arrive (concierge parking????). I'd just like to know what the normal etiquette is here. i.e. Do I tip? Is it up to personal preference? Will I find the car has clocked up an extra hundred miles or so overnight lol?
michael
Letting him drive the car is enough of a tip IMO. BTW, your Ms Lima avatar is the best one on here at present, keep up the good work.

flukey-lukey
Slip him a few quid and he won't fart in your motor or bounce it off the limiter trying to impress his workmates

SupraAyf
I saw one of these posh parking attendants as my wife and I were driving past the Grand Hotel in Brighton 2 weeks ago - he was a young lad. Well, he took the keys off the owner and then moved in to the traffic where we were stuck at the time. The owner went in to the 'Grand' and then we sat there for 2 minutes waiting for the lights to change. FFS, he must have ragged the bloody arse of that new RX-8 as my wife and I were just so shocked when the rubber fumes from his tires seeped through our cars vents! I wouldn't leave any car of mine with one of those twats!

If you're with a lady guest, it will impress her if you dip into your imaginary lotto winnings and pull out a crisp £20 note. And as it's not me, slip him another £20 on collection. Or just slip him one if your that way inlcined.

Did it occur to you that your car may have already been on fire?
SupraAyf
Did it occur to you that your car may have already been on fire? I have to admit that my wifes new car was not the first place I looked. I think its because I could see the smoke coming from the RX's tyres:)
Chewie
Generally in life, it always pays to tip. I tip my barber so I don't get a dodgy haircut. I tip waiters so I always get a decent table, they say hello etc and so impresses the ladies. I tip the dustbin man every Xmas so my wheeley bin never ends up 100 yards down the road. I tip the newspaper boy so I don't read papier mache and I always tip off the police so I never get stopped.
