TrickTT
Following on from this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=98198 According to the computer at the MOT place ALL MK IV SUPRA's need at least 1 cat in to pass the MOT now. Any model, any age from chassis number 0000001 onwards. It seems that at some point recently, vosa/dvla have updated their computers and you now need a CO2 reading below 0.2 to pass. Previously '93 and '94 imports could pass with a CO2 reading below 3.

razza
how easy it is to swap the front cat back in? is it a job for the garage or is it one you can change yourself without much hassle? I have the front cat and access to a service pit and an MOT in April...
Homer
how easy it is to swap the front cat back in? is it a job for the garage or is it one you can change yourself without much hassle? I have the front cat and access to a service pit and an MOT in April... Swapping the 1st cat in is a PITA, the 2nd cat is easy and can be done on your driveway if you have some decent jacks and stands. Have a word with our local MOT guy if only the MOT is a concern

razza
can't replace 2nd cat as the replacement pipe is welded in place in the exhaust. will definately take it to those guys anyway, I'll stick the first cat in the car just in case. jase_93tt
For those who dont have the option to fit decat pipes anymore (like me!), a simple tweak of the fuel controller will suffice (hopefully!). My MOT's in March....

Emissions test is based different category depending on age of car, and not if its j-spec or uk spec, there all the same . so based on being 1993 it was tested as if it should have a cat on. RESULTS : FAST IDLE maximum C0 0.20% vol Actual 0.05% vol NATURAL IDLE maximum C0 0.30% vol Actual 0.19% vol /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif oh and needed a new number plates as the Spacing was wrong. ta jamie
