silvershark44
Ok this film has been on my to watch list for quite a while, and last night i watched it and thought it was pretty good. However, the bits in Sicily were all in italian, and there was no sub titles on the version we watched. So wasnt too sure what was going on there. And there seemed to be a slight glitch at one point where the girl that he has just married, is in the car, beeping the horn, and "glitch" skip to next scene. What happens here? Does it blow up? And if so why? As you can see this was a torrent version, I will have to get the next lot on dvd i think so i know whats totally going on. Can anyone fill in the gaps for me please? thanks matt
DaveK
Yes, it blows up. Although I can't remember why.
rik
Ha, watched this all the way through for the first time the other night too. I got the box set for xmas. The part you are on about, i think, is where he has just been told that he in no longer safe as his rivals have discovered his whereabouts and he must relocate. One of his Sicilian guides has turned traitor and a bomb was planted in his car. Only his new wife wanted to suprise him with her new found driving skills and went to collect the car for him. Mike
Part 2 is sooo much better... If you've not seen any of them.. I'd recommend Part 2 and then Part 1... and forget the third one..
how_supra
Its one of those films that you need to watch all the way through - all three of them. Its a journey, I found them sort of hard work to watch [enjoyable but slow], but when I finished watching the third film, I felt weird [don't know how else to describe it] but only then did I understood what the films were about. I think the Godfather trilogy is a pure masterpiece imo
rik
Yeah, i'm looking forward to watching the next episodes. I've only ever caught small parts of each film before, so it will be good to get the whole story. Trouble is they're so bloody long. It's not often i get 3 hours spare to sit in front of the box. And if i do i'm usually knackered and fall asleep.
R3DG3CKO ROB
Awesome films - but you really will need all of the film to understand what's going on
