JustGav
Not wishing to state the obvious, but you shouldn't be touching the gold edge connectors, and especially not if you don't have an anti-static strap... But it is a nice looking card..
Daston
ah been doing that for years even dropped them down the stairs I sware PC parts are more solid than people belive (I do try not to touch the gold connectors tho) Its an 8800 GTX, My 7900GT will be going to my bro so he can run SLI. Will try and get a few benchmarks in a bit. Oh anyone know what the idle temp should be on a 8800? mine seems to be around 48c.

I have a 7900gtx at the moment, but im still waiting for the right time to upgrade to a dx 10 card. Thing is I could still sell my 7900 gtx for £200 if i was lucky. So an upgrade maybe worth it still.

silvershark44
Just scored 8363 in 3Dmark06 I think you could do much better than that. What processor are you running? Have you got global anti-analysation (spelling) enabled?
Daston
Thats what I thought! CPU is an AMD X2 4400 I normaly run this at 2.4ghz but it seems a bit unstable at the mo, my plan is to upgrad to AMD's Quad core when it comes out. Rico2006
Good card - installed mine about a month ago, along with a Dual Core Intel. Fast as fook. Got a quad core MOBO though. Wow gives frame rates of over 190FPS with everthing at full res. Only problem is the Vista drivers are a little buggy at the moment. 9785 3D Marks (2006) under Vista 13127 3D under XP

CardiffSupra
Very nice, Quick question lads for you lads. I have a AMD 2.2ghz, 1gig ram, 160gig hdd, 6600 500meg gfx Card. I was looking to upgrade my computer but one of the lads in PC world said if i just spend a few 100 quid on a top gfx card i wont need to upgrade anything else, It will run any game on highest detail. True or not?
Rico2006
Download 3D Mark 2006 demo, run it, and see what your CPU' and GFX are packing. Spec looks ok, whack another Gig of mem in if you can, as bang for buck, mem will be the cheapest.
