Joe.
Just looking to see who is into drifting here and does any of ye attend any of the drift event in the Uk or Ireland At why havnt more Supra owners taken part in drifting ?
Gamer
Supra's cost much more then a silvia for a start. They are heavier and not really suited to drifting. IMO, you would be silly to put a car you cared about through that abuse.

jimwire
I had a drifting day bought for me by my girlfreind for christmas. She has said I can do it in her supra!! I was going to get a set of standard wheels. Is this a bad idea? I presume it would not be the best for the car.

Im biting the bullet and builing one for drift , have the car striped to a bare shell, and have gone and marked all un needed metal , extra skins on places , boot floor etc that wont be need and will cut them all out. Ill be running a complet custom loom for the whole car Will make a new thread shortly with pics inc

Sheefa
I tried drifting once at a Gumball event on the forum. I crashed, caused over £2,500 worth of damage and had people laugh at me. I won't be doing that shit again in a hurry. PS: I wasn't even drifting, going 30mph round a long bend when the back end stepped out.
Millsy
I've seen a few for sale that were drift spec - even the manual na ones. Also I think there's a Maxxis tyres sponsored Supra in the States that is a well known drift car.
Gamer
You could probably count them all on one hand. There is a reason for that. It looks good on paper but in practice I think it would be more costly to run a drift Supra then most of the popular drift spec cars. More power to you though if you are giving it a go, good luck and keep us informed.
