Jezz
James, you cant say a bank sucks just because you check your balance and it reads 'Amount available for withdrawal £0.13'. I find Natwest spot on.
jamesmark
HSBC are rubbish, HBoS is just as bad. Nationwide are brilliant and high interest rate too, as long as you pay in over 1k a month i think it is circ 3-4% on the current acc. Then E-savings (online acc) linked to your current acc is 4.8% iirc
SatSport
I`ve found SMILE a decent outfit, ........banking from your keyboard
Homer
Natwest have been very good to me, but that might have something to do with my business account. Very good to deal with and you get to speak to humans instead of Indian robots (no offence like..)
terribleturner
Jezzy 13p would be great. They took away £500 from my overdraft and didn't tell me. Now they want to charge me because payments didn't go out. Well im claiming all my fines back and need a new bnk for when they dump me. So Nationwide and Smile, i'll check them both out. Cheers

I find Natwest spot on. Funny you should say that. I am about to change from Natwest AFTER 20 YEARS to go with Abbey. I worked out that I will be £1500 A YEAR better off with Abbey

Terminator
Smile are great, been with them since their internet bank was started. Best security of all the E banks. They monitor accounts very well.
sdavies
I have been with Natwest since 1993, not really done much wrong by me and anything they have ever charged me they have refunded quick sharp with a short sharp note in their shell like. Like a lot of things though, you can have the most wonderful experience ever with something, recommend it highly and the next person that takes you up on your recommendation has the most rum deal on the planet!! Just one of those things
Pot
Stick clear of Lloyds TSPee, my claim is going in this week
how_supra
Avoid HSBC like the plague. Lying, two faced, no good for nothing scum of the earth. [in my opinion obiously] Otherwise all banks are the same, they take take take, and never give anything back If I changed banks I'd go with an internet bank me thinks. Interestingly Abbey were the only ones who would give me a mortgage.
paul ashton
Yorkshire have always come up trumps for me for 17 years.Sometimes they haven't even charged me when i've gone over my overdraught limit.
Sheefa
With my credit rating and mass credit cards I tend to avoid banks. I normally withdraw all my wages out in cash the day after they go in just in case they try to stitch me up.
