sean reid
Hi all, I'm new to the club and just wanted to say a quick hello to all you Supra Nuts. I need some advice. The Turbo's on my JZA80 are starting to leak oil into the air box and i think i can comfortably say that i think they've seen better days. Would it be better for me to look to get them re conditioned, buy an after market replacement(s) or source second hand ones......... Your help will be greatly appreciated. michael
Welcome! The turbo replacement thing is dictated by budget and future plans, now might be the ideal excuse to go single or opt for some hybrids (there generally seems to be at least one used set floating around). If you are happy with the current performance and don't ever think you'll need any more then buy some low mileage turbos from a member here or get yours rebuilt. A rebuild can be costly and doesn't really bring anything new to the party, most people here would see it as an excuse to upgrade.... sean reid
Cheers Michael, That's sort of the way that my mind has been thinking, if i can free up the cash, this would be the ultimate time to go large and upgrade. I think i need to do some number crunching... Thanks for the feedback mate....
