MarkTheBoy
Ok... I'm just waiting on the delivery of this, hope its here to fit for the weekend. I have heard back and they can supply me in bulk, so if they work, and look good this should be all clear subject to Mod's ! Keep us posted matey! If the mods arn't keen you could always set up an ebay listing. How much do you think they'd be if it all fits ok?

Nic
I can supply Toyota and TOMS shark fin roof aerials if anyone is interested, the Toyota one is designed as a telephone aerial, but it may be possible to adapt for use with radio (I'll have a chat with Matt H and see what he thinks). I'll also check on the TOMS one to see if it is a working aerial.

imi
dont think that supplier (Mike) is all that interested to be honest..... just sent this to him..... "Hi Mike. what's the update on these? I find myself chasing you a number of times for an update that I do not receive. If you are not interested in making this happen then in order to avoid me wasting my time and the time of 30 odd interested members I would appreciate if you could let us know upfront. If you are keen on making this happen, then I would expect a bit more pro-activeness from your side. Regards imi"

imi
looks quite nice, is there a black rubber sleeve that goes on top of that silver mast?

baldy
no thats it,the mast is an ebay job. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALU-BULLET-AERIAL-CIVIC-TYPE-R-PRELUDE-CRX-ACCORD-BEAT_W0QQitemZ330082383016QQihZ014QQcategoryZ10386QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem been to the local mazda dealer today the mx5 aerial base is powered so needs the proper lead all in works out to £145 so thats a no go really(lead in 2 parts @28.58 each base @88.10 problem is the base has a rectangle plug so you got to have the right lead to it. ill see what discount i can get through work on this
Stevie Boy
Blimey i've been chasing this stubby thread all over the place so the Original (MKIVStore/Mike in the US?) developed Proto is off the cards now. Shame how easy a Single turbo kit and sundires can be sourced and what you'd think would be a trivial Aerial replacements turned into such a nightmare. I'm a little stuffed if Stubby doesn't come with base cos when i bought my motor 3years ago noticed Original leccky aerial was fooked which was apparently getting sorted before colection, when i picked it up just checked mast was no longer snapped as excited with the new purchase, but what the bumhole had done was stick a cheapy pull-out aerial mast in place of the stock one, which doesn't even fit tightly or at correct angle when fully extended shame S2000 and MX5 jobbies are so pricey.
