Class One
I usually get by on about 5 hrs between shifts, and no more then 7 hrs on days off. I find anymore than that is too much, and as you get older you need less sleep anyway.
jamesmark
4-5 hours, on a day off at least 13 hours.

Yeah, but I've been doing shift work for over 15 years now, so I guess it's what you're used to that counts.

Dr_Doom
My sleep pattern is terrible. Always has been since high school I get about 3 hours sleep a night if I’m lucky. Sometimes less. I usually end up sleeping through most of Sunday though to recharge my batteries..

Homer
Depends on what I'm up too. Normal night would be 6hrs ish, but if I've out on the p*ss when it could anywhere from 8-10hrs. If its been a tough week at work and involved travelling then I have been known to get a good 14hrs+ sleep in on Friday One thing I have noticed is the hours sleep have increased significantly since I was in my teens/early twenties!
