No, the ST24 has approx 170 bhp, ST200 derives it's name from the fact it has 200bhp. The ST200 is slightly newer and therefore has a few tweeks in the looks dept. Both have V6 Duratec engines AFAIK.

Far more ST24's on the road than ST200'S due to much longer production run.

st200' are very nice cars

We bought a 4-year old example but when we got it home, I found the rear boot full of water and the rear leather seats were soaked through.

The problem with all ST200's (and Mondeo's generally from what I've heard), is that the rubber seals that surround the rear light clusters perish real easy. Ours did after only 4 years so it leaked like a house with no roof. It took 10-days to get everything dry and then I flogged it for a £500 profit:)

I drove a st200 and although it had a nice engine tone it didnt feel all that quick, not comparing this to a supra , in fact my daily driver is a Vectra sri, and although quicker than the vectra not as good as I was expecting it to be.

I droce a BMW 330 ci on the same day , I know its unfair to compare the two due to price and engine sound, but the beemer was in a different leauge , power braking style

Have a look here:

Insurance isn't the cheapest, the earlier models did leak through the rear light clusters.

Loads of abused ST24's around so buy with caution, sevice history is recommended.

I've had two V6 Mondeo's, an M Reg and a V reg, both great cars but the V Reg was much improved, I'd go for a later model, well worth the bit extra IMHO.
