Ok so my car was being mapped at Turbofit by Dan and as the power was being increased the standard auto box started slipping, he halted at 1.2 bar and 380 BHP, so I need an uprated box, Gregg has suggested a TH350 any traders got one or know where to start looking?? I am looking to take the car to 550-600 BHP wheel horse power and not sure if the boostlogic can handle this?

I doubt the BL box can take your planned power levels.

You will have to purchase a TH400 from the States mate as no company over here offers them.

The exchange rate is very favouavble at the moment so now is the time.

Gamer, thanks Gregg told me it would have to be the States but worth a try

I work and drive in London in traffic and the Auto box suits really but dont want to be restricted as my set up is all there now for 550+ BHP, Gregg is going Auto this year also, maybe we will start an new trend Manual to Auto ;)

I hope you are going to also get the gear vendors overdrive kit for the TH400 if you are planning to use it off the track.

Without it motorway travel will be a major hassle. Also your top speed will be limited.

Another thing to keep in mind with the TH400 is if it breaks you are a bit screwed in that you either have to pay god knows what to someone over here who will most likely not have a clue about the TH400. Or drop it and ship it back to the States for repair.

IMO unless you are planning to use the car on the 1/4, you should seriously think about doing the manual swap as I have done. I went through 2 BL boxes and the hassles/time and money spent could have been avoided had I gone to manual earlier.

If I had to do it again I would just skip the auto and go manual.

What happened then Joe? I obviously knew about the issue soon after you bought the car but did not know about the second one too. :(

The second one was ok but with the power I was pushing at that point it was starting to show signs of slight slippage. I had to constantly keep an eye on the fluid and change it often. When I mashed on the go pedal the revs never seemed to match the speed I was going so I said the hell with it and took the plunge.
