mathew
rant time!!!!!!! my grandparents phone hasnt been working for about 2 weeks now and BT kept saying we'l send out an engineer to fix it. guess what.............no engineer! my gran woke up yesterday morning to find that my grandfather had had a stroke and he was in a pretty bad way obviously couldnt phone us for help so had to struggle to get him comfortable before walking to our house at 5am to get help. my mom phones BT and goes absolutely nuts on them and guess what, by 9.10am they're phone line was repaired! very dissapointed that it takes a near death situation to get a fucking phone fixed by BT. bought her a mobile phone today incase of an emergency but i think it may be easier getting another bt engineer out than my gran actually learning how to use a mobile

Tom S
Such is the plight now that all engineers are no longer BT. It is a seperate company and BT have to wait for engineers the same as any other Telco. sorry for the hurt, but it happens.
Pot
As has been said, it seems that this is the way things are, my first thought is that I hope your Grandad makes a speedy recovery, the 2nd is the irony of the fact they'll charge him for the line rental when it was down... Pathetic isn't it!...
mathew
as much as i hate to admit it he's not ok really. hes been having treatment for prostate cancer for years but the treatment increaeses the risk of strokes which are getting more often. he's now bed ridden but slowly regaining his bearings. the only problem is that hes such a proud guy he wont give in to it but at the same time tries to be active when the docs are telling him to rest. i cant really bare to see him like this but i know he would like to see me so will try my best to visit tomorrow. shit i really didnt know how much it has affected me as typing this has really put a lump inmy throat
