Mike M
Hi folks, Bit of an epic this one but basically on my 1600cc twin weber 34's after a long run it started backfiring on the over-run. I've reset the mixture and timing because fiddling made it worse but still every time I lift off I get some decent flamage and a nice bang. Strange thing is the engine is running very well otherwise so I dont think it's ignition or the carb balance. Can this be exhaust gasket leaks pulling in air? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike Woohoo, fixed this today finally. It was exhaust gaskets leaking and a hole in the exhaust nest to the cylinder head. Now I can get into the supra's running probs.
