Shane
OK, 10 days ago I saw something on fleabay I wanted. The end date was while I was going to be working away and didn't want to lose it. So I contacted the seller and negotiated a buy it now price. Sent the cash via paypal (Paypal called me to confirm it was a genuine transaction) to the seller who took it off ebay. I received an email the next day from the seller saying it was her boyfriend's item and gave me his email address. Wrote to him asking if he had received the cash and when would he send it. He replied he had received the cash and that he needed my address to ship the goods. I sent him the shipping address and asked again when could I expect to receive it and have heard nothing since. I have written several times to both the ebay seller's email and the email address of the boyfriend and have heard diddly squat, and obviously have not received the goods. Have opened a dispute this eve via paypal but to be honest last time I recovered only a fraction of what I had paid when I tried to get money back for a non sent ebay item. Toruble is this time it was £320!!!! I work too many long hard hours to be ripped off this amount. Anyone here had similar problems and managed to get them resolved? Ian W
fraid not mate, sounds like you've not been having much luck with paypal though. good luck getting it recovered, whether it be cash or the item purchased.
Chewie
Let's not be too hasty. It's only been 10 days. I'd start to get concerned if I hadn't received anything at the 21 day mark. Then start a dispute. The last thing I bought from eBay took 11 days to arrive.
SUPRASUZUKI
If you think you've been ripped open a 'dispute' on paypal. I did this over Christmas (my lad bought a jacket that never arrived). I expected to get nothing back. I got the lot back, including the postage. Hope you get a good result.

Mas
dont worry mate, paypal is always in buyers/customers side than sellers, I have been ripped off selling things and the buyer reversed the payment from my account after leaving a positive feedback!!! but in your case mate you are a payer and you have 60 DAYS to claim your money, just open a dispute asap before the guy takes the money out of his account or credit card (some just close the paypal account to rip people off) you ll be fine mate trust me unless as I said he already closed his paypal account otherwise you will get your money back, be quick and open a dispute with paypal if you havent yet. Ebay wont be a help anyway as its been bought outside ebay.

Shane
Lets hope you are right. I realise that 10 days is not a lot of time, I have sold things on ebay myself and because of work or whatever I have delayed on shipping them, but, this guy will not reply to any emails. If he said sorry for the delay but will send it next week, then fine but I have never had a word since he said he recieved the cash. Have opened a dispute, but tried to keep an optomistic tone in the first stage. Will keep you posted.
Rico2006
Ive been waiting 21 days now for a set of the D2 brakes of Ebay, which were allegedly in Essex.... As someone has already said though, Paypal will always err on the side of the purchaser so just give it time. and cross your fingers
Shane
Here's the latest, I have recieved a message via Ebay messages (bit strange as I did the deal outside Ebay, but at least it's a response) from the bird who originally listed it:- Hi, I am so sorry not to have been in touch sooner. I have been away and my boy friend who has the supercharger has just started a new job so been totally hectic. I am going to box it up this afternoon and send it either today or tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and please accept my apology? I will email you when its posted. Yours, So, have to wait and see but at least it's a step in the right direction. Amazing isn't it that they didn't reply to emails until I started down the dispute route. But at the end of the day all I want is what I paid for and not to lose the cash so if this is what it takes thats fine.
Shane
Whoooooo hoooooo!!!! Sent a stroppy email to the seller today via paypal and this evening got one back saying that the supercharger had been sent via parcelforce 48 today and moaning that the postage cost £26. So looks as though I may not have been ripped off after all.
Jake
What supercharger have you bought then? What's the plan?
Shane
What supercharger have you bought then? What's the plan? Eaton M62 with various bit of pipework and bypass valve. Plan is to either, mount it where the AC compressor is and move the PS pump, or mount it on top of the engine and modify the bonnet. Hoping to run about .4 bar of boost initially and go from there. It's quite a big bit of kit and the biggest problems at this stage at least are mounting. As my engine is stock I will be fitting AFR and boost gauges to keep an eye on things. Good news is.....it finally arrived yesterday!
