Does it come with any games?

In fact, are there many games even due to be released for it?!

No games as far as I'm aware, it'll probably come with a half-arsed demo disk and one controller if it's anything like the usual Sony tosh.

Apparently by the time it comes out there will be a massive 30 games to choose from. Woo yey!

*sigh*

I picked my xbox 360 full system up for £240 (Great universal 20% off first purchase :D )

And got £20 back from their cashback system and £20 back from Quidco for refering from there site :D

£200 for a xbox 360 full system with a game! bargain!

The HD drive is about £120 i think.

Its good value when you look at how much stand alone blu-ray dvd players cost... but still a large amount for gamers to shell out initially.

I played my brothers in the US over x-mas, that was pretty good, needed a better TV tho, but it ran nicely and the graphics looked nice, online play ran sweetly too. Nice system.

far far too much for a games machine !

I'd rather go down the PC route and get real good simulators instead of arcade games. A PC is much more versitile.

What is so good about these blue ray DVDs? Is it just the higher definition or is there more to it?

I've seen some of these HD TVs, and they are nothing special IMO. You really need to go massive screen size before you start to notice the differece. Which is good for those that have massive screens I suppose. ;)

Plus HD-DVD is not a patch on blu-ray. Think of it as a cheap blu-ray player with a console thrown in... ;)

If you can't tell the difference between hi def TV and normal you need your eyes tested, there is no comparison. Of course you need to be watching an HD channel that actually has HD programmes on, half of what's shown on the HD channels is just normal def. Blu-ray will be much better again than sky HD too, just as a good DVD player looks much better than normal Sky.

yeah same here, there are only two games that I would buy and those are GTA4 and GT5.

But I've played GTR and GTR2 on the PC and nothing compares to those games for realism and graphics etc.... which is what I look for in a game.

So I'll probably give the PS3 a miss or until is drops to the £200 mark.
