tyre question

Hi Guys

Can I run a Goodyear GS-D2 on one side of the front and a GS-D3 the other side, without disturbing the handling.

I don't want to pay out for 2 tyres if only one if required.

Both on standard 17" rims.

Ta

Don't do it mate. I've just had my fron D2s replaced with new D3s and the tread patterns are drastically different.

I know it's a pain, but I'd only replace tyres in pairs.

What's the problem? Puncture?

I would have assumed that the D3 is an improvment over the D2? Probably makes more sense for them commercially to make them incompatible. :(

If you want an answer based 100% on fact, then I don't know. It's a question for either someone who has done it, a tyre supplier, or Goodyear. I can guess what the answer from the latter two would be, but maybe you could get away with it.

It's a crap situation. BTW how did the tread get low on only one side?
