Golddigga
A mate of mine had some aluminium floor mats in his 300zx which I quite liked. Does anybody on here have something similar in there Soop and if so where did they get them from and how much? Thanks
Wez
Cut a hole in the carpet
Tricky-Ricky
Thought you could only fit them to Novas:p sorry but they rank along side of fluffy dice in my books, the term "slippery when wet" comes to mind.
Sheefa
Agree with all the above. Get yourself a neat new pair of genuine Supra matts from Supradibbs mate.
Gamer
I would stay away from the metal floor mats. I have a metal section on one of my mats and it is a pain in the ass and to be honest somewhat dangerous when your shoes are wet. You have been warned. hogmaw
I think quite the opposite! The carpet ones fail after a time as your heel will eventually dig through and damage below. The metal section works a treat, wet or dry. I'm curious as to how it can be dangerous when wet? It's not like it supports your weight or anything
Gamer
You are welcome to sit in my car at the Ace and you will see how your heel resting on the metal will slip around. You do not need to weight of your body to do this, just the weight of your foot is enough to slide around. Think about it for a second, the heel is what is making contact with the floor so you can accelerate. If it is slippery then you will have some problems... Don't take my word for it though. You are welcome to purchase them and see for yourself.
hogmaw
Gamer it will be an honour to sit in your car (just take the keys out beforehand, you can't trust me ha ha). But I have those metal things there in my own supra, I much prefer them and don't find slippage a problem. Then again I don't drive in the wet if I can help it
DamanC
I had a set in an old car. Never again.

johnd-mkiv
I used to make these for the 300zx looked into doing them for the supra but the floor pan has to many curves and bumps to get them to fit and look nice. had a set in my 300zx and they was not as slippery as you would think

sdavies
I much prefer these that I obtained from Wayne (supradibbs) (I really need to take a better pic of em ): http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/mat1.jpg http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/mat2.jpg http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/mat3.jpg http://waptech.ist.co.uk/o_pics/mat4.jpg I had mats with a metal part to them, and they are indeed slippery when wet - not dangerous, just feel uncomfortable for the first few minutes when driving!
