Rogue Motorsport are the biggest 3S-GTE tuners in the uk I know of. There engine builder is ex ProDrive WRC and does gearboxes too. Give them a try as they maybe able to help you.

LOL.

They might do more PR than a lot of the more established people but they still have a fair way to go. Respect to them for getting where they are today in a fairly short timescale though, some of the customer cars are impressive enough.

I'd be tempted to seek out Ian Ashton if you want a proper job, if you just want a mechanic that's familiar with bolting parts to a 3S-GTE and shipping it to a mapper then Rogue, 3S etc might be worth a look.

I'd have a read of the GT4 sites listed above and ask for recommendations, also try imoc.co.uk to see who is flavour of the month or to see which internet forum posting specialist has suddenly turned into a tuner overnight :innocent:

If you want honest work doing at honest prices GTSChris is a good contact to have:

What are your aims? What sort of money are you looking to invest? It's a simple enough little engine and doesn't need a huge amount of cash spending on it to get impressive performance.

I guess you're the real expert on this mate. IMOC is the best starting place.

And I second the GTSChris bit as well

Not these days, things have changed a great deal since I took an obsessive interest in such things :)

What's good is that there are plenty of choices now but like the tuner of the week scenario we have here too there are always horror stories or snippets of negative feedback to consider. Rogue seem to have a very good following, as do many of the others, it's down to the customer to feel comfortable and do a bit of research really.

As I said above it really depends on the end result the person wants, any old spanner monkey can do the bleed valve, FCD, decat and exhaust thing, the interesting search starts when you want a built engine and exotic bits and pieces that need a good understanding of the basics.

I'm really hankering after another MR2T now that parts are cheap and plentiful, everyone seems to have over 300bhp these days and 500bhp cars don't seem to be as impressive as they once were.

Tell me about it, I loved my one. My ex called it the red rocket-powered go-kart lol

Cracking 300bhp always used to be such a challenge but as you say nowadays people are breezing through it.

I may well get another someday, although I have to say that a Noble seems a better alternative. Bang for buck I still say you can't beat the MR2T though.
