How gutted am I!?

I was all excited about getting to go snowboarding in France last week after missing out on a trip last year.

Had a great start to the first day on Monday, covered loads of terrain... and then on the last run of the day coming back to the car park... hit an ice patch followed by some of the churned up snow... catch an edge and two back flips later I land with all my weight on my left foot and the board digs into the snow... I've torn some ligaments in my left foot and twisted my ankle pretty badly, the bruising and swelling are still coming out!

I ended up spending the rest of the week on the sofa watching dvd's and getting ferried to the physiotherapist, I am absolutely gutted!!

Worst part of all is that I was really looking forward to the Ace Cafe meet this Wednesday and now I can't drive! :(

nasty mate!

shame you are missing the Ace cafe thing especially after all the trouble with refurbing the wheels......

here's to a speedy recovery :)

Thanks mate, I don't even know when I'll be able to collect the wheels.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a lift up during the week as I need to get your spares back to you. Will keep you updated.

Owww.

Are they sure your ankle isn't broken?

Had a set of x-rays done while I was out there, top and either side. Didn't show any break.

See, it's things like this that make me feel that the right thing to do is just stay indoors and watch television.

I must say out of all the times I've been snowboarding this is the first time I've really hurt myself.

I felt more pain staying in every day watching TV knowing that my friends were out there having fun and I couldn't join them.
