Guest Garfy
Hi all, seeing as there are a few convoys arranged for the Ace Cafe Meet on Wednesday I wanted to see if you all still use walky-talky's and if so which one I should get. Thanks Garfy

Guest Garfy
they look good, but a bit pricey for me, so I guess any two way radio will work? and what frequency do you use? (PM that one if you want)
TrickTT
I just got a set of these from Halfords: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_232973_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_31341_crumb__parentcategoryrn_31341# Listed at £3 cos the box was damaged, and i got staff discount on that as well so they cost £2.

Guest Garfy
Ok i've been looking on the Argos website and they don't seam to mention wether they are PMR446 but many have 304 channels, so I'm guessing if I buy one with 304 channels I will be ok? ivan
I take it the 304 channels refers to the 8 channels with 38 anti-interference codes? All the one's I've looked at seem to be that description. http://www.maplin.co.uk have some at fairly good prices.

(PM that one if you want) If you have got a rig that is unlocked to allow a transmit (one for any hams on here!): Channel 5, Tone 5 = 446.056Mhz We got hold of the Oregon Scientific ones from Argos, they seemed to work OK driving round most of the convoys.
