Gaz6002
Faults can be fun sometimes... I took a call the other day that went something like: "we have just had a power cut on site. Could you give us an RFO (reason for outage) report?" Bearing in mind we only control the network equipment on site and the BT line I replied: "You had a power cut" And he hung up. Amazing. GeordieSteve
I've had a guy going CRAZY once because the server had died and no one could work. Really going mental he was and complained that I was taking too long and he was on his mobile. When I asked why he said the server must have killed the phone system as well..... and the lights. They had a powercut

michael
What's your job Michael? You an IT geek like me n Pete? I do software certifications, package installs and software deployment with SMS amongst other things, it's a small team though so we all muck in and do whatever is needed. Sadly it's quite a sterile environment here so the inner geek doesn't get a chance to play like it used to. The guy above is from a company we are slowly taking over, right now they have full admin rights on their own machines, in a week or two he'll be logging calls asking where his shortcuts to Doom etc have gone

I'm a Windows server admin, looking after about 200 Intel servers betweem three of us.

Thorin
in a week or two he'll be logging calls asking where his shortcuts to Doom etc have gone I had someone asking me where their install of Adobe Photoshop CS2 had gone the other week... "Which one was that, the paradox cracked one downloaded from bittorrent and copied to one of our corporate servers, or the one you're going to legitimately purchase?"
