Well done mate sounds like a neat project, but I do have to ask why you would do that when you could have bought a tt?

owned this for 4 years now, i remeber how hard it was to find a good na back then most of them were dogs

this worked out cheaper than selling and buying a tt ,

cost just over £2500 doing it myself

I have to ask, how have you shielded the hot side of the turbo from the silicon, in the photo's it almost looks like it is touching...

its very close ,couple of mm gap

have a turbo blanket with manifold wrap underneath, it seems to be ok up to now, done quite a few miles allready

if it does cause a problem will mod the manifold to lower the turbo

or maybe get a 2nd hand bonnet and get a uk style or smaller scoop setup for air cooling?

if you are into DIY then its possibly cheaper/better if you know you have a good NA.

Also replacement NA engine £200-300............TT engines more like £1000............
