Jade Goody . . .

I just think it is all blown out of context, Jade and Co are really too thick to be racist. They are just making silly comments because they cannot think of anything else to say.

Its classic school ground stuff, think of the most obvious thing to take the pi*s out of (which happens to be where Shilpa comes from). eg. taking the pi*s out of people that wear glasses, who are overweight, ginger etc. Its just something that ignorent, stupid people have to do to. Its just simple bullying and ignorence NOT RACISM.

So true, Shilpa is a black belt in karate and has mastered 6 foreign languages. Can you see Jade Goody & Friends doing that?

No, but they'd take the p*ss out of you at school for it...

She was pig ignorant first time round and got booted out for being a great fat joke. She had a crap time then. Second time round she made a real big effort - A REAL BIG EFFORT to pick on somebody else and make sure they were the joke. But excuse me why did she pick on a successful and very beautiful Bollywood actress who's made her millions based on talent and not on being a complete chav failure. The great ugly pig (cows are sacred in India) is a success due to mediocre PR marketing exercise. Who or what is buying her perfume? Can anybody describe in 4 letters what it smells like?

Cant stand that ugly, foul mouthed, thick as pig sh1t bint, she should be towed behind a 4x4 over the worse terrain known to man, then shot, then blown up, then ran over by a train, cant think of anymore nasty things i would like to see done to her but by this time she may look better looking but as far as brains go she was on another planet when they gave them out and she didnt just hit every branch on the ugly tree when she fell out of it but someone then continued to hit her wih the ugly brand for years to come!!

As you can see i really really cant stand her and have to turn over when i see her!!

No one's buying her perfume now, I hear it's been pulled by a lot of shops.

Just wait though, OK will pay her her a huge amount for her story: "Jade Goody, Why I is not a Racial" and she'lll do some TV where she visits the poorest parts of India.

Christ, if I'm really cynical she may end up like Sam Fox and actually be a Bollywood star.

It's not her fault that she is thick and ugly, but at least she has had the sense to learn from her mistakes. Surely everyone can be forgiven if they have learned from their mistakes? I think she has learned a lesson here, and I hope all bullies who watched the show will have learned something too.

I agree racism is not bollox it has now been turned full circle now you are persecuted for being white.

We haven't got the card to pull when things don't go our way

This is not true, I have dealt with racist incidents where, indigenous white people were the victims. Agreed it does not happen often, but it does happen and the perpetrators dealt with the same way.

When dealing with racism you have to be totally dispassionate. It is a very difficult task particularly when the perpetrators can not see the situation from the victims point of view. Very often racists and bullies can not empathise with with their victim.

Racism of any kind should not be tolerated, it is a hideous form of bulling. It can not ever be justified, except, unfortunately, by those who are sympathetic to the same views.

Paul, do you actually even know what your talking about? or are you just plane ignorant?

LOL:d it's 'PLAIN' not 'Plane' (that's a thing with wings on)

And I'm the ignorant one?

Don't get the arse over me questioning what most people are scared of questioning these days, not on mate, let's not fight over it;)

Anyway, all I'm doing is highlighting the one way street that this racism lark seems to have and also I do find it hard to believe that people are really upset at some of the comments.

That other girl (don't know name) saying she should f*ck off home. Well, her home is India I believe and I can't see what is offensive about it. Turn the tables, if I was in India and fell out with someone and they told be to fuck off back to the UK then I wouldn't get distraught over it?

Also the 'Poppadom' issue. If someone called me Mr Fish and Chips or Mr Roast Dinner (dishes associated with the UK) then I couldn't give a shit.

It's done no harm to me or my family and I don't consider it one of life's major issues so why is such emphasis put on such crap?

All I'm doing is actually looking at the words and sentences and yes I do find it hard to accept that it's so soul destroying, maybe not a nice thing to say, like someone calling me 'ignorant':D

But why do people look so deep, some brits use these words like slang, similar to the Aussies calling us Pommies but we don't wet ourselves over it do we?

PS. I like to think I'm not ignorant, yes I'm from a different generation to those brainwashed at school (now in their 20's) but believe me I'm trying to understand this and am just questioning how serious an issue it really is.

Thanks, Paul

... Paul, have you ever in your life been bullied? at school? work? i'm beginning to think you've not been on the receiving end hence its a little difficult for you to look at it from the other angle.

racism and bullying to some extent in my opinion go hand in hand... i've seen cases of racism where both the victim and practiser are both the same race.. and please don't call "accepting other people" brainwashing (.... sorry if that's not what you meant - but that's how it came across when you were referring to the current school generation)... if anything, its social enlightenment.. helping each other understand what makes us different. for example - when i was growing up - the "older" generation had a fear of skinheads - (i cant really blame them as someone had sprayed "national front national front every paki is a C***) on our garage door) but this fear was passed onto myself and other more impressionable kids around me ... it wasn't until i got to college where i began to have more contact with people outside of my own "race" when i began to realise how narrow minded i was thinking how everyone was the same (outside of my own race) ... i mean i was in effect fearing a whole load of people just because they were white skinheads  ... if anything i learnt a lesson from that - everyone has fears of other types of people - fear is what occurs when there is lack of understanding.. or lack of tolerance demonstrated by those around us which affect our own way of thinking.

as for bullying - I've been at the receiving end of it pretty much all my life until i left uni - because i "waddled" and looked different to others.... and guess what - my tormentors were asian... it's not a place where i'd want anyone to be in.

suppose what i'm trying to say is - take a step back from this and look at the bigger picture - about how incidents which have been pumped up by the media such as this, are going to leave impressionable and conflicting thoughts in people from every race and creed. Ignorance and "stupidity" cannot be used as justification for abusing anyone.

Don't forget the French refer to us as 'roast beef' and a lot of yanks refer to us as 'limeys' (sp?).

It's never been classed as racist.

Let's be honest, I'd say more countries have a disliking of the English than any other nation (America might catch up soon). Even our closest neighbours the Welsh, Scots and Irish contain many people who hate us.

It's like the Milwall song 'no-one likes us, we don't care'.

As for telling someone who doesn't live her to f*ck off home, that's not racist. It may rude, abusive and wholey inapropriate, but it's not racist.

Paul, the point you are missing is that it is the oppressed person or person in the minority who feels the sting of racism more.

You come from a one of the richest nations on earth, you're not poor and you are probably white, healthy, educated etc.

Do you feel bullied or racially harassed when someone from the OPPOSITE background calls you 'white trash' or whatever? Unless you have personal issues or insecurities then the answer is no, because your know that they are wrong.

So would it bother you if you were in India, and an Indian man told you to fuck off back to the UK? If you have any dignity, it wouldn't bother you at all.

Thanks for pointing out the 'Plane' issue, it was an easy enough mistake.

So could you tell me in your own words, what constitutes towards Racism, be it mild or serious?

Well according to you,

Its ok to tell somone to f**k of back home when they're a different skin colour to you and from a different place, because your are only stating the true, i.e they are a different skin colour, and they are form a different place, so it makes it ok.

Similarly, is it ok to call a black or white person, "You black c**t", or "you white prick" if they are black or white?

Prime example of adding to a comment to make it look racist when infact nothing was mentioned either on Big Brother or on here regarding 'skin colour'. Fact is she comes from India, her home is in India and the comment made was why doesn't she f*ck off home?

Now people assume it's racist because of the skin colour however if that was said to some blonde Swedish bit of stuff with white skin then you guys wouldn't jump the gun so quick yet your same rules should apply.

Is it not people like yourself that really need to accept cultural differences will exist no matter what and all this sort of thing mearly serves to make the gap between all races even wider?

As for bullying then no, I don't think it's on. But as far as Big Brother goes there have been many incidents of it before and nothing has been said even when different skin colour has been involve.

Would it not be considered bullying, the fact that all white brits have to pussyfoot around all the time making sure that they don't even refer to countries of origin, the food they eat, the way the live etc. as anything these days seems to be able to be twisted into 'racist comments', all to gain the upper hand at work, with the law and general day to day living?

I for one find it difficult and uncomfortable when talking to someone new from another culture or religion as I know that any comment however innocent could be taken the wrong way if they are that way inclined, I'm beginning to feel uncomfortable in the country I was born in if I'm honest, surely this isn't right?

Thinking about it can you see that it's a vicious circle, people resent getting pulled up on every little thing and as a result they seperate themselves from situations that this might occur in therefore folks from different cultures and backgrounds are less likely to mix.

It's having the opposite affect in other words:(
