jamesmark
Finished @ 17.30, just got home. Went to Leeds station and walked straight back out and took the offer of a lift from a guy I worked with. 5 trains showing on time and trains as far back as 2pm not even departed yet, not a chance of getting the train. What was worse was the guy drove a MGF, horrid car no room, shit brakes absolutely horrid.
Pete
The windows of my shed is gone. Mum and Dad still without power since lunch time. They're cooking hotdogs on the fire for tea in darkness with no entertainment

Sheefa
Thank fuck my brother cut down and grinded out the two willows on the left of my drive about 4 months ago! They were leaning to one side and would of easily taken out all of our cars. No damage to report here. A lady in Dorridge, about 1/2 mile from me was hurt badly in her car though as an Oak fell on top. Took over 1 1/2 hours to cut her out. Tell me about it! I work in Godalming and had an absolute nightmare getting home! Ah well - at least I'm not the poor soul who's car got smashed, I guess.... Class One
Spoke to my parents who live out in the middle of nowhere on the Warwickshire/Oxon borders, they've had no power all day and are cut off due to fallen trees. So the old man has been out with his chainsaw stocking up his woodstore.
