JamieP
I have a hks fuel rail with hks 1000cc injectors and its a pita and keeps leaking. When i look inside the rail it has a groove that the injector ring sits in but nothing at the bottom for the injector to pull into. If i over tighten it the injector ring pulls past the groove and it leaks.. same if i under tighten it. I get it all just right and when driving a few hundred miles it must vibrate and move the injector and it leaks again. its a royal PITA Has anyone else had this trouble with the HKS rail? i just dont understand it. Anyone got a pic of the inside of a boostlogic rail or any others? i want to see if there is a lip at the bottom that the injector pulls in against. Thanks for any help Jamie:)
Lucifer
which collets did you use?
JustGav
I'm running a PHR rail, I haven't seen any leakage from around the injector area, I had enough problem with the fuel-in pipes leaking in the beginning... took me ages to get it sorted. Nic
I've never had any problems with my HKS rail and HKS injectors, they've been on for over 5 years now.
Guest Terry S
I've never had any problems with my HKS rail and HKS injectors, they've been on for over 5 years now. me either. The only issue is the small neck size restricting injector selection. Jamie, are you sure you didnt pinch an O ring fitting the injectors. JamieP
me either. The only issue is the small neck size restricting injector selection. Jamie, are you sure you didnt pinch an O ring fitting the injectors. Ive had it out 3 times now and all the o-rings are perfect. What happens is the oring on the injector sits in the groove in the rail.. when i fit the rail and tighten it in it weeps alittle at the manifold end... if i tighten it to much then the oring pull past the groove and it pisses out. What im wondering is if the boostlogic rail has i lip to stop the oring pulling past... then in that case i can tighten it down with out risking it pulling past. JamieP
All i really need to know is if the PHR or boostlogic rail have a lip in them to stop the injector pulling past the groove... then i can order one up. thanks:)
Chiefgroover
PHR is good, but the mounting legs are usually too long, so a quick rub with the grinder will get the injector to head fitment airtight as I did. Fittings are good, if i can mange no leaks, so can you!.
TLicense
I can confirm the PHR has no grooves at all.
TLicense
Also, Dimitri mentioned that I should weld the collets onto the rail to prevent any leaks...

JamieP
Also, Dimitri mentioned that I should weld the collets onto the rail to prevent any leaks... Yea i was thinking that because it would stop it vibrating about.
