Thread size of AEM Bosch wideband

Anyone know what thread size the bosch AF sensor is on the AEM UEGO wideband ? I have to tap one into a stock O2 bracket on my MR2. The 3" downpipe I have has a hole for one, but the sensor will foul on the rad pipe

My tap and die set is no where near big enough, so I need to buy one - but not sure what size to buy.

Cheers

Matt

Could do, but it would need to be done in situ, and the downpipe is between the cabin firewall and back of engine - a real bugger to get to.

Or could take the DP off, but I lost enough skin, threw too many spanners round the garage and upset too many neighbours with my swearing when putting it on - so don't fancy taking it off :D

The old sensor bracket is in my hand, so just need to tap the thread in and bolt to DP.

Worth suggesting tho mate :)

If you tapping a round bit of pipe i cant see the AF sensor sealing right when you screw it in... but i maybe wrong;)

Nah I'm using the stock sensor mount, it is a bracket that I have gutted and can tap and screw the bosch sensor into :) This then mounts to the stock flange on the dp.

Well I've found this http://www.driverstechnology.co.uk/spark-plugs.htm.

I know the spark plug fits, as per Jake's reply, so it would seem as if it's a 14mm thread that I need. Getting there slowly ;)

I wouldnt be tapping no exhaust pipeing, jp is right wont work.

Just find a local nut n bolt place and buy a bag of 10 for £2.00

and give 9 away like i do.

Er, don't worry - I wouldn't tap into a dp. Said in the first post that it was to tap into a stock bracket.

This is an MR2 downpipe, you can just see the stock flange at the top. A bracket bolts onto it and it's the bracket I'm tapping the bosch sensor into. The bracket and sensor can then be safely and securely attached into the flange.

We might have one at work, if you're desperate. I am back in Sunday if you get desperate. It's a fine thread though, we tend to use course. You better have your weetabix tapping that size in steel.

I do have some threadmilling cutters that are 1.5mm pitch but you probably won't have the machine to do it. ;)

Thanks mate, will let you know - appreciated :) I have ordered a tap and it cost £15, but if it's the wrong size then I can send it back. I've ordered M14 x 1.25.
