mathew
argggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! my birthday and a mates is coming up the beginning of feb and we planned a weekend to bristol. all booked for 12 of us. one mate wouldnt go because he wont leave llanelli another because hes under the thumb etc but we managed 12. one of t hem has explained that he cant make it due to family problems so pulled out, fair enough. now the 4 others have come up with excuses not to go, basicly they bum him and if hes not going they arent but they wont admit it. so looks like its all falling to pieces here. might have to be a night out to swansea instead and if i see any of them out il be tellin them straight wat i think of the wankers!!! i havnt come across as wound up as i really am feeling right now but im feeling so fucking pissed off!!! anyway rant off and i know its pretty trivial compared to some problems in peoples lifes but i had to say something
Max Headroom
Sorry bud but they can't really be your mates then if they cry off, unless of course you are really really boring

DannyW
This is one of the many reasons that i don't have "friends" always get let down resulting in bad feeling.
Supradoopa
It f**ks me off that does, I had more or less the same with the last time I went out everyone backed out, but as soon as it was one of the favourites to have a night out everyone went... Wan*ers... Just go anyhow with the rest of your mates, have a good laugh then brag to the ones that never went how amazing it was
Max Headroom
They have no sense of adventure !! pity them
mathew
something similar happend last year as they all wanted to save their money for the 6 nations weekends so we ended up in swansea which surprisingly turned out to be an awesome night
Jake
How old are you and your mates Matlee? You'll find that as you get older these kinda things with mates get harder and harder to organize. Folks just have too much other stuff going on in their lives to keep up the 'going out with the boys' thing. As people get serious partners or married, and have kids and stuff the 'beers with the lads' thing gets pushed to the back. Fact of life mate. Don't be too hard on them. mathew
yeah i understand that jake its just the fact that they were all up for it one weekend, not drunk at the time may i add, and then cos one pulls out another has to then its a case of 'if hes not going i dont think i will' maybe il have to accept the fact im gettin on a bit, the big 25 for me in 3 weeks
Jake
25 is a bit young for people to start being pussy-whipped so I guess it's not that. Must be you then! j/k

juanchan
25 is a bit young for people to start being pussy-whipped so I guess it's not that. Must be you then! j/k I'd have to agree sorry! Can't imagine not wanting to go for a lads-weekend in 2 years time - it makes no sense! As Supradoopra says, continue without them , have a few beers , a few laughs and let them know what they missed out on afterwards
RedM
Maybe they've seen your avatar and were worried they'd end up at clubs with names like Manhole or Rods.

Jake
Yeah Jake, he's still young. The kind of thing you're talking about only happens in your early 40s. I'd say about 30 it starts getting really noticeable. There used to be like a dozen of us that went out every weekend. As guys had kids, got married, got jobs further away etc the numbers started to drop. In the end there was only like 3 or four of us (of which I'm only one with kids). Nowadays I don't bother much either.
