I came home tonight and someone followed me all the way home and told me that my rear wheel was wobbling around - Chrysler Grand Voyager. I got the bus up on the trolley jack and both rear wheels are firmly attached (wheel nuts) and I could not pull/push the wheel around. (I guess the handbrake does not help). Any Idea what could be causing this ? I'll be calling the dealer to get it booked in but, just thought if anyone had a clue ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I followed the wife out this morning and drove ~2miles and it looked fine, it was down a straight road but, had a couple of roundabouts in it. keron Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 best thing is to take it to a tyre/wheel dealer and put that wheel on a balancer machine to check it. should only cost you a fiver at most. at least it eliminates if the wheel is bucked or not? Also have you got sprigot rings on the alloys? if they are not standard wheels then you will need to use these if the center bore is a different size to stock, otherwise it could cause this probably. Sharpie Posted January 16, 2007 Author Share Posted January 16, 2007 rubber is a little dirty with all this rain water - no blobs of mud or anyting.... but, last night I did put some tyre shine on the outside rubber walls....it would of made them look different compared to the rest of the tyre. Just kidding, it's probably her imagination if nothing feels as if it's falling off and the tyre hasn't a bulge in its sidewall.
