Voo51
also, on wheel width is the the measurment from the very outer edge to the other very outer edge or the inner edges where the tyre fits? if that makes sense?!
Jake
would 8.5inch be wide enough for the front and 9inch for the back Yes that'll be fine. also, on wheel width is the the measurment from the very outer edge to the other very outer edge or the inner edges where the tyre fits? The inner part where the tyre sits : http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/images/xsection.gif
Sheefa
I'm not sure Voo, but I have 17's with 9.5 on the back and 8.5 up front. Personally, I wouldn't go any lower than that at the rear and I'd be looking at 10" ideally. However, those with 19's will be able to clarify. You looking at SH wheels or new with rubber? merckx
245 's max on the front and 265's max on the rear will be good. It's not easy to say if a 36 offset wheel we be okay, you have to consider brake clearance which varies with wheel design. Especially so when you've got UK brakes like you do. Also rubbing on the arches. Are 265's wide enough on a 19" wheel which will give less traction - you're gone single too!!!!!!
Voo51
so is it from here to here.....

merckx
That's 10" on the outside. I would think that's a 9" wheel.

Voo51
apparently they had 245/35/19 tyres on them
Sheefa
They look huge Voo. I would definitely want bigger tyres than 9's at the back, but as Jake said, check the fitment guide out.
Spoony
hi dont go to small i have 9,5x19 et25 with 265/30/19 in the back and 8.5x19 et40 with 235/35/19 on the front. h&r springs with 35mm only had to lay down the edges in the back a little bit and it fits perfect take a look http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/6711/img3613800erta6.jpg 9x19 is not enought, the original j-spec wheels habe 9x16 and the eu spec has 9,5x17, both arround et50 9,5x19 et 25 is the same like 10,5x19 et50, only with smaller wheels, the et25 wheel is smaller but it has the samed distance to the edge like the et50
