edge
A horrible story. As a dog fanatic myself i hope You manage to track the owners of the dog and report them as the official bodies take these incidents very seriously. There are alot of good owners out there but far to many giving the rest of us a bad name hence why some beautiful breeds have been banned. Our dogs are our children and i would be gutted if anything happened to them.
Kopite
Gutted to hear this James, we all know how much you love your cats. The other cat will soon be fine, i held my cat while he died, it's best for you and the cat in the long run that you were there when she went. Green Peace
Hi Si, thats my other cat who was there and sat there watching all worried from the meows from the Zoe. Now my other cat who followed me everywhere wont let me go near her, she just hisses at me and attacks me, I think she thinks I hurt Zoe but im hoping she'll forget. Sorry didn't realise you had two, im sure she will forget, if only we knew. Thats quite odd behaviour, im sure she will forget shes just frightened and in deep shock maybe..i hope by now ya cuddling her again and shes responding ok... Its tough I know losing a pet and losing one in such circumstances like that is horrific. i cradled my beloved Border Collie in my arms trying desperatly to do anything i could to save him, gloucose, injections you name it,.. he had leakhemia...i would carry him outside for him to goto the loo, there was some suggested hope from the vet so i hung on, but in reality he was dying, i carried him out to my Dads car to take him to be put to sleep and one of the neighbours shouted 'you should feed that dog' I cuddled him one last time, he scrambled on his feet upon the Vets bench, as the park i always took him to was just near the vets and he thought and senced we were near his favourite playground...i cuddled him and didn't want to let go..my brother dragged me away from him (he had too) i guess i was being selfish really...because the kindest thing to do was to let him die in a dignified and (seemingly) painless way... I was 17 at the time and when i go back to Shepton Mallet where I lived for a bit i often take a look at the park where i walked him and the last place i saw him....even all these years on...although the emotional wounds are still there in your soul, as time goes by they dont hurt anymore..but they are still there...and anyone like you or me (who truly loves their pets) always keeps a room in their heart for them! Scott
So sorry to hear that mate. I really feel for you as we have 4 cats at the moment. We had 2 initially and one ran away, we assume it got ran down. We got another one but soon after the first one got ran down. We got another one and it got ran down. Needless to say our cats dont get out anymore but i know how you feel losing a cat this way. I like both dogs and cats but i've been in a similar situation. Dunno if the dog was ok or not after i kicked it about 8 feet in the air but it wasn't going for my cat without me having something to say. Big fat alsation it was too. Owner came down and had a go but i wasn't in the mood and he soon realised that. I do like all animals but if someone elses animal is attacking mine, i know whose side i'll be on. Horrible time to be thinking about this but if you only have 1 cat now i suggest you get another. According to specialists its actually pretty cruel to have a cat alone. Bear in mind though that it will take usually around 2 weeks for them to warm to each other, especially if its not a kitten you get. Again sorry to hear your bad news. Bobbeh
Sorry to read this WBS. Dunno what I'd do if that happened to my old kitty. Hope you're doing ok! Just read this, seems dog attacks are very frequent these days. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/staffordshire/6270655.stm
Supragal
Bobbeh- what you mean is dog attacks are well covered in the media at the moment. I'd lay a bet that the number of dog attacks hasn't significantly risen, it's just become a good story line. Worries me, it's going to go somewhere bad.
