richy2jz-gte
will j-spec yellow bilstein shocks fit a uk tt and are they the same ride height as my stock uk ones also will eibach springs fit them too??? help plz
Syed Shah
Yes it will all fit. I will warn you though that Dean, an old member here, did this to his UK Supra. A very low car and very hard ride will result, so don't be excpeting comfort or the ability to go over speed bumps at anything more than a crawl. Apparently handled well with that setup though. SteveL
Richy, I run a J-spec on Billies and Eibachs - ride is firm but not jaw brakin' - and is low enough... As a guide - I've about 20mm clearance on 18's in the front arches.
Steve W2
I would do it! I run on TEIN's and have loweerd the car and I don't have problems with speed bumps. You do have to go slow but it hardly ever grounds:) Pic of mine, I'm at the front.Low
supra dan
should point out mine has a veilside kit which makes clearance worse
MONKEYmark
never noticed low supras before they look good. mines like a 4x4 you can kick a ball inder are them black shocks on jap cars soft or hard? whats best for getting a good launch hard or soft?
Syed Shah
The black ones are the soft ones, the yellows the harder ones. Though even the black ones are harder than the export Supra suspension (UKs). Softer rear suspension is better on launches, as it allows weight shifting to occur, the rear end squats when this happens, as you can see on some US Supras on drag suspension setups. suprz_rz
Mine came in from Jap with yellow shocks, but glancing at them the other day, it looked like they said Toyota on them. Did Toyota do two different types of shocks then? Black, soft and yellow hard?? Mr Keef, I saw your motor, and thought you nicked mine. Almost Identical, 'cept for the wheels. Although I think mine has a copy kit on it.

Branners
Dean had Billies for Toyota as opposed to Toyota Billies. They had an adjuster ring on them but even at its highest setting his car was on the floor. I run Bilsteins and TRD springs and my car is very low as well and the ride is very harsh. jason m
so can i assume that the yellow bilsteins and standard springs would be a good set up for fast road, occasional track ? I have the black j-spec ones 65K miles are feeling a little tired.
Terminator
I have new billies and eibachs waiting to go on I had not thought of stock Jap springs with the billies. Anyone running this combo or have any experience of it?
suprz_rz
I dont know if I have standard springs on mine, it doesn't feel very low, so they could be, just with Billies on. See pic

Need4Speed
There's yet another sort of set-up, the TRD Bilstein. Grey in colour and very hard (excuse the shot gaiter).
