gooner
I'm looking for a better 0-60 time and its been suggested to BPU which from what I can gather is a full decat. My car at the moment has got a full stainless on it - how would I know if its got a cat in it? I don't want to sound like a twit here - but I'm kinda new to supras. terawua
I am sure you could search, but depending if you are a uk spec or a j spec you will need: decat pipe (uk or j spec -these differ slightly) fcd (fuel cut defender) restrictor ring (j spec) boost controller (uk spec) new fuel pump... walbro is mostly used.... oh and keep the stock airbox its better! (maybe pop a k+n flter panel in it) the rest you can search. hope that helps
Max Headroom
If you look under the car at the exhaust running under the middle, if it is a straight pipe then its decatted and if it has a bulge it has a cat, mind you there are two cats on a sup the first one is straight after the exhaust manifold
Nic
Here is a pic of the 2 stock cats. Located from engine manifold back underneath the front seat area.

Nic
had a look and it has got the cat ...so ill need to get a decat ?? Has it still got both? There are 2 cats if you look at the pic I posted above, the small first one and the longer second one. The first one is the most restrictive of the 2. Click on this link and read up on what you need. BPU.
Nic
And when people talk about 1st and 2nd decat pipes, which is which? The first is the smaller (and most restrictive) one nearest the engine, see pic above.

Chris Wilson
Do both, removing just one doesn't make a big difference as both are pretty restricive. Given a choice remove the first one, nearest the engine. I stock both pipes and everything else you may need, BTW, but the above advice is sound and impartial.
