mkirby Posted January 14, 2007 Share Posted January 14, 2007 and nothing else needs doing to run these then? different garages say different things about running in, most tend to limit the revs to say 3-4000 revs for the first 4-500 miles then do an oil change and check the oil and filter to make sure there clean then increase the revs to upto 5000 for the next 4-500 miles and do another oil change, then you should be ok from there Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Terminator Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Not intention to hijack the thread. I thought the max size of piston was 86.95. With 87 being the max bore size. So if pistons are 87 then the bore needs to be 87.05, beyond the safe limit. Perhaps HKS refer to bore size rather than actual piston size.
