264/264 braincrower cams

hi all .

i want to running 264/264 braincrower cams and iwant to know what the difference between that cams and the 264/ 264 hks cams.

At the risk of being flamed, the BC cams have a higher lift over a shorter duration (222 degs), where as the HKS run slightly lower and longer. Poss one smoother than the other but performance in similar area is my guess :)

ok, why there is a big difference in the price between BC and HKS.

and depanding on my setup above which one you guys think will the best to go with. and do you think with the extra lift on the BC the stock springs will handle the additional lift

These new BC cams are just that, new...no one has tried them.

 

The 222deg isn't the entire duration, they are 264's like the HKS ones...looks to me like the BC cams offer a little more peak lift. So they will clear a little bit more air...but they will put the valvetrain under more stress.

Do we know at what lift the valves become interference? 0.27mm isn't that much greater than the HKS cams though and they are still non-interference.

 

I seem to remember reading that the JUN 272/10.8 cams made the engine interference.
