Soonto_HAS_soop
Can you get 246 HKS Cams? Or do you mean 256 HKS cams?

Guest mr_sb3
Whichever is the best the hks264/264 or bc264/264 . For use and better performance
Nic
Whichever is the best the hks264/264 or bc264/264 . For use and better performance It depends what the spec of your car is, cams should be matched to the rest of your set up.
Wez
I dont think there are any dyno comparisions but the BC cams have more lift which should allow more air, more air needs more fuel and creates more power.
D3xt3r
Piper now does 2JZ-GTE Cams I would look into those. We just got three sets made after specifications from us.

Fish
At the risk of being flamed, the BC cams have a higher lift over a shorter duration (222 degs), where as the HKS run slightly lower and longer. Poss one smoother than the other but performance in similar area is my guess
Guest mr_sb3
ok, why there is a big difference in the price between BC and HKS. and depanding on my setup above which one you guys think will the best to go with. and do you think with the extra lift on the BC the stock springs will handle the additional lift
Wez
I am going HKS 264/264 on my motor as its a well tested setup. Not sure if anyone on here is running any BC cams yet.
Alex
These new BC cams are just that, new...no one has tried them. The 222deg isn't the entire duration, they are 264's like the HKS ones...looks to me like the BC cams offer a little more peak lift. So they will clear a little bit more air...but they will put the valvetrain under more stress.
Alex
Country kuwait...but in greater manchester. Want to clarify exactly where you are and what spec of Supra you have....do you really have a LHD US spec one?

Do we know at what lift the valves become interference? 0.27mm isn't that much greater than the HKS cams though and they are still non-interference. I seem to remember reading that the JUN 272/10.8 cams made the engine interference. http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/cylinderhead-part/camshaft/camshaft-2jz.html?en
Alex
10mm is AFAIK the max before you get interference. So yeah the really wild JUN cams need valve cutouts in the valves.

D3xt3r
We ordered some 10.5mm lift But this is what the engine guru calculated.
